A word from the owner

Whilst Garden Boutique is a relatively new landscape and horticultural services company formed in 2011, it draws on over 20 years of international experience in the industry. The most recent being the owner’s last Landscaping business Alpine Landscaping situated in Chamonix in France (click to view profile). Tim is still an active stakeholder in the business which was sold to Karl Mullen in 2011. Tim moved back to Australia in 2011 and began Garden Boutique. The quote below was taken from the Alpine Landscaping company profile at the time of sale;

After 7 years working in the landscape business in Sydney, Tim began a small landscaping company soon after moving to Chamonix in 2006. Tim has since worked hard maintaining and designing a variety of properties in the valley. His expertise lies in his ability to match the design of a garden to its natural surroundings. His knowledge on how to maintain gardens at their maximum potential has been a huge asset to the company, Tim prides himself on his many LONG TERM clients and has built personal relationships with many of them.

About the Owner

I was lucky enough to grow up on a rural property in Mulgoa on the urban boundary in Sydney. From a young age i was fascinated by all things growing outside both there and in my Grandparents beautiful garden at Hartley on the other side of the Blue Mountains. My late grandfather was an exceptional gardener who inspired me from a young age.

I studied Bachelor of Landscape Management & Conservation at the University of Western Sydney. From here I graduated having completed the dissertation / professional collaboration option in the final (4th) year. Myself & Chris Buscall’s collaborative research project with Blacktown City Council (2003) was the best in our year. Subject matter included urban impacts & vegetation corridors; specifically riparian corridors. Throughout university, I had a part time job at with North Shore Office Landscaping during university. Before uni I worked in eco landscaping with earth repair and eco hort and have completed some volunteer hours with Landcare Australia. Having graduated, I headed overseas. Alpine Landscaping Chamonix was a great stepping stone business and allowed me to gain valuable experience; whilst maintaining one of the most amazing lifestyles I’ve ever achieved.

Garden Boutique is now well established in Sydney & surrounds. My adjacent business: Adventure Boutique is in its infancy and is all about community & corporate team building; bespoke adventure and a balanced lifestyle for the modern world.
