Soon silence will have passed
into legend. Humans have turned their backs on silence. Day after day we invent
machines and devices that increase noise and distract humanity from the essence
of life. We need to honour silence, any moment, any day, no matter what
circumstance we are in. The moment one gives close attention to anything, even
a blade of grass, it becomes a mysterious, awesome, indescribably magnificent
world in itself. To express art truthfully and effectively one needs to see
beneath the surface and record the qualities of nature and humanity which live
or are latent in all things. It is these innate qualities which intrigue,
inspire and uplift.
Silence is the most profound
quality. Within life’s motions other
qualities bring us closer to the profoundness of silence. Here are some of the
qualities which have been explored through the embodiment of Dru Yoga and through Reverence,

The first prints are a series of
Goddess’s; each representing a quality I would like to deepen my understanding
and expression of. The first one is Earth Listening, the second, Virtue, the
third, Honour. These two latter qualities arose as I explored my ancestor’s
origins; the origin of Scottish MacLean’s; which apparently originated from
Tuscan Geraldi’s of
“When you have tasted the
moonbeams, how can you eat sand?”
