Any project, no matter how big or small requires process.

Brief – An initial meeting will determine the scope of the project and enable a written brief to be formulated. The written brief will outline the goals and objectives of the project and establish an understanding between the client and the designer. Once the brief is formulated, associated costs will be discussed and agreed upon.

Research – Different projects require different amounts of research. This process usually involves an element of investigation that facilitates discovery and understanding.

Concept – All projects begin with an idea. Designers will work as a team to formulate a creative approach that fulfils briefing requirements. From here, designers will prepare a concept presentation for review by the client. This may entail concept sketches, ambiance boards and / or verbal discussions on the creative direction.

Execution – Once the design approach is agreed upon, designers will go about executing finished art. In this phase, attention to detail is key. Spelling and grammatical checks are run, colour corrections are made, files are packaged and artwork is sent to the client for a final, signed approval.

Dispatch – This phase is where concept meets reality. Artwork is collected on disc and provided to the nominated supplier with detailed specifications. In the case of print design, printers are supplied with press matched proofs and mock-ups. The project is then monitored until the final piece is delivered to the client.
