The Fund has appointed Element Resources Management (“ERM”) as the Fund’s Manager. The Chief Investment Officer is Gareth Lloyd, formerly the Portfolio Manager for the LinQ Resources Fund and who was an Associate Director of the Rothschild Australia Group working on the Rothschild Golden Arrow Fund I and II since the time of their inception in 1997 and 2002 respectively. Gareth has established a strong reputation in the resources sector and will bring this wealth of experience and access to investment opportunities to the Fund.
He has a proven track record of sourcing, generating, negotiating, structuring and managing debt and equity investments in the resources sector for over 10 years.

Gareth was with the LinQ Resources Fund which is one of Australia’s largest ASX listed resource funds. Gareth has over 26 years of relevant experience in the mining and mining finance industries. He has operating experience in gold, base metals and coal operations in Australia, South Africa and the United Kingdom.
He was the Portfolio Manager at the LinQ Resources Fund with responsibilities for sourcing, negotiating and transacting investments and divestments for the Fund. Prior to LinQ Resource Fund, Gareth was an Associate Director of the Rothschild Australia Group working for the Golden Arrow Funds (I and II) for which he analysed potential investment opportunities, formulated investment strategies, monitored existing investments and executed the Funds’ market activities through brokers in Australia, Europe and North America. Gareth has held a number of senior positions at prominent Australian stockbroking firms including Resources Analyst at Eyres Reed and Research Director at Hartleys. Gareth has both technical and financial expertise relevant to mining and exploration companies, together with a firm grounding in equity analysis and funds management.
