Don Fuchs

DON FUCHS is a Sydney-based freelance photojournalist, specialising in travel, nature, life style and eco-journalism in Australia, New Zealand, South Pacific, Europe and Asia. His texts and photos are published in major Australian, New Zealand, German, French and American magazines and publications. Don is a regular contributor to the Journal of the Australian Geographic Society and since 2002, he has been a member of LOOK, one of Germany's leading image libraries.

Born in Murnau in Bavaria/Southern Germany, he graduated in economics and did his apprenticeship with the leading German travel magazine ABENTEUER & REISEN. For six years from 1987 to 1993, he was one of the editors for the mountaineering magazine, BERGE. He is also a longstanding board member of the Foreign Correspondents Association in Sydney. Don is the author/photographer of several books.
