Dora is a highly trusted and supportive counsellor, a talented facilitator and a warm and respectful companion to her clients.
Experience
Whilst working as a primary teacher Dora gained a deep understanding of the whole child, the key stages of child development and the ways in which family, culture and social environments influence a child’s life.
Her experience in teaching high school students has provided Dora with a broad appreciation of the diverse issues that adolescents face and the ways in which they can be effectively supported through this crucial stage in their development.
Within her student welfare role Dora gained experience as a facilitator in relational and disciplinary issues and acted as a liaison between school and family.
Working as a drama teacher combined with her Psychodrama Practitioner training has allowed Dora to incorporate a range of creative approaches within the therapeutic process.
Dora has completed counselling and therapy courses and undertakes ongoing professional development. Her training has allowed her to explore new theories and to integrate her previous experience and skills into a flexible counselling framework.
Through her life experiences and varied interests Dora has gained a deep appreciation of different cultures and as a result she attracts clients from diverse backgrounds.
