Our Mission
The mission of Cattle Council of Australia is to represent and progress the interests of Australian beef cattle producers. Cattle Council’s consultation with, and policy feedback to, key industry organisations and Government representatives addresses issues of national and international importance. We do this through our consultative committees, capacity and industry programs, ongoing engagement with producers through our membership base, and attendance and promotion of industry events both at the national and international level.
Capacity Programs
Cattle Council of Australia is passionate about building capacity in the beef sector. Annually Cattle Council runs programs which promote the leadership and professional development of producers.
These programs include:
- CCA NAB Agribusiness Rising Champions Initiative
- Australian Institute of Company Directors Course
- Rural Awareness Tour
Industry Programs
The Australian beef industry has put in place a number of the world’s best systems and programs which underpin the safety and quality of Australian beef for both our domestic and export consumers.
Cattle Council is directly involved in the management and direction of these schemes and ensuring they deliver the best outcomes for producers. Cattle Council is always focussed on the strategic improvement of these industry programs to align with market and producer needs.
