Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I clean my screen?
Dirt and grime, fingerprints and germs build up on the screen - you're probably looking through all that stuff right now.

Cleaning the screen with i-cie removes this dirt leaving an anti-static coating to minimise further build up between cleanings.

Why is i-cie the best solution for cleaning your computer screens?
It has unique properties that removes dirt and grime, polishes the surface and leaves an anti-static coating to minimise the build up of dirt between cleanings.

i-cie contains no alcohol or ammonia - common ingredients in glass cleaners which can damage the delicate coatings on screens.

Where does the i-cie technology come from?
i-cie was researched and developed in Australia and is made specifically for cleaning and polishing delicate coated lenses - in fact the product has been in use for many years in the sensitive optometric market for cleaning coated spectacles and delicate camera and binocular lenses.

What's wrong with using a "glass cleaner" to clean my computer screen?
Most glass cleaners contain alcohol or ammonia - ok for plain glass but may cause untold damage to delicate coated lenses on computer screens, laptops, PDA's etc.

i-cie is proven safe for these applications and has anti-static properties and a polishing action that resists further build up of dust and grime.

Many monitors have externally applied coatings for ultra-violet radiation reduction and for reducing glare.

These optical grade coatings can be damaged by cleaners containing alcohol and ammonia.

How often should I clean my screen?
The frequency of cleaning depends on the environment the screen is in but a normal cycle is to clean weekly to maintain clarity and minimise eye-strain from looking through all that extra stuff on the screen.

i-cie is a simple one step process that cleans and polishes screens for maximum clarity.

How do I use i-cie?
i-cie in sachet form is a simple and easy to use one step process. Open the sachet and remove the lint free cloth. Unfold the cloth and wipe over the screen using circular rubbing motion.

My i-cie sachet seems very dry - why is this?
i-cie does not contain any alcohol or ammonia so there are no volatile ingredients in the sachet to evaporate. This lack of "wetness" does not affect the efficiency or cleaning ability of i-cie to clean and polish screens and lenses in any way and also minimises streaking.
