Installation Procedure

This page details the steps to install Times Desktop for the Windows PC. This application can be used either standalone or in conjunction with Times Professional for the Pocket PC to provide full two way data synchronisation.  For further details please refer to the Times Desktop User Manual or product web page
The following prerequisites are required:
These components will be automatically installed if not already present when you run the setup application. Otherwise, choose one of the options below to install the prerequisites and run the application.
If installing on 64 bit please manually install the .Net framework from the link above

Installation Steps
  1. If upgrading you must uninstall your current version. Only remove the Times Desktop application, do not uninstall SQL Server or any other prerequisites
  2. Download the Times Desktop Setup application. When prompted to Open or Save the file click Save
  3. Once the file has been downloaded extract the contents to a temporary folder, e.g. C:\Temp or Desktop
  4. Perform ONE of the following install options:
    1. Option 1 (Recommended) - If you require all prerequisites run the Setup.exe application, if you receive a Security Warning message, click Run
    2. Option 2 (Alternative) - Install all the required prerequisites using the links above and run the Setup.msi application, if you receive a Security Warning message, click Run. Use this option if you do not need SQL Express installed 
  5. Follow the on screen prompts to complete the installation
  6. When the installation is complete click Close.
To start the application use the link in your Programs menu. Click Start / All Programs / Times Desktop / Times Desktop
After installing use the following details to log on to Times Desktop:
User Name:
Password:		 Times
Times
You should change these details after installation using the System Settings
