3-day Ride Plan option - Leaving Friday 17th May

Day 1- Friday 17th May - Maclean to Wauchope / Total 530Km / 6.5 hours.

07:30 - Departing Ferry Park Maclean for BP South Grafton.

08:15 – Arrive at South Grafton.

08:30 - Stands up, leave for Glen Innes.

(South Grafton to Glen Innes 158Km - 1hr/50min)

10:30 – Arrive at Glen Innes (Ampol Service Station / Fuel Stop)

11:00 – Stands up leave for Walcha.

(Glen Innes to Walcha 160Km – 1hr/50min)

13:00 – Arrive Walcha. (Fuel Stop and Lunch)

13:30 – Stands up for Wauchope.

(Walcha to Wauchope 163Km – 2hr/10min)

15:30 – Wauchope. (End of day one)

17:30 – Dinner at the Wauchope Country Club.

Day 2 - Saturday 18th May - Wauchope to Tamworth / Total 370Km / 4.5 hours

08:00 – Departing for Wauchope for Wingham.

09:30 – Arrive at Wingham.

(Wauchope to Wingham 80Km/1hr)

10:30 – Straight through Wingham for Gloucester.

(Wingham to Gloucester 80Km/1hr)

11:30 – Arrive at Gloucester – Fuel and Morning tea.

12:30 – Stands up, leave for Tamworth.

(Gloucester to Tamworth 210Km – 2hr/30min)

14:30 – Tamworth – (End of day two)

18:30 – The Blaze Room, Tamworth Leagues Club.

Day 1- Saturday 18th May 2024 - Grafton to Tamworth / Total 370Km / 4.5 hours.

08:30 – Meet at BP South Grafton.

09:00 - Departing BP South Grafton for Glen Innes.

11:00 – Arrive at Glen Innes (Ampol Service Station / Fuel Stop)

(South Grafton to Glen Innes 158Km - 1hr/50min)

11:30 - Stands up, leave for Armidale.

12:30 – Arrive at Armidale (Stop for Lunch)

(Glen Innes to Armidale 100Km/1hr)

14:00 – Stands up, leave for Tamworth.

15:00 – Arrive at Tamworth – (End of day one)

(Armidale to Tamworth 100Km/1hr)

18:30 – The Blaze Room, Tamworth Leagues Club.

Day 2 – Sunday 19th May 2024 - Tamworth to home.

SYDNEY METRO RIDE PLAN - TAMWORTH 18 MAY, 2024 (+ optional extension).

Saturday 18th May, 2024:

7.30am - meet at McDonalds Windsor Rd, McGraths Hill

8.00am - depart McDonalds up Putty Rd to Grey Gums Cafe (88km 1hr15).

Morning brew around Robbo’s Table.

10.30am - depart Grey Gums & continue up Putty Rd.  Left (northwest) onto Jerry’s Plains Rd / Golden Hwy to Jerry’s Plains (103km 1hr20)

12midday - after a regroup we’ll continue west on Golden Hwy for a short distance then right onto Edderton Rd, right on Denman Rd & into Muswellbrook (Royal Hotel) for lunch & fuel stop. (36km 30mins)

1.30pm - depart Muswellbrook up the New England Hwy to Wallabadah (Marshall MacMahon Hotel) for a quick refreshment  (102km 1hr15)

3.15pm - depart Wallabadah & continue up the New England Hwy to Tamworth (54km 45mins)

4pm - arrive Tamworth.

6:30pm - Blue Liners annual dinner at West Tamworth Leagues club.  NO TICKETS AT DOOR - be sure to register/pay at below weblink.

There is plenty of accommodation options in Tamworth, but a fair few from Sydney are already booked & staying at the Golden Grain Motor Inn.  It’s a very short walk to the club.  Ph: 6765-3599.

Sunday 19 May - Either make own way home, or join a heap of us on a 2nd night to Coonabarabran.  Mad Bill is conspiring up a route (probably via Mt Canobolas), which will be confirmed over breakfast in Tamworth.  2nd nights accommodation is at Country Gardens Motel, Ph: 6842-1711. Or if that fills up there are numerous other motels and motor-inns in Coonabarabran nearby.

Monday 20 May - ride home via Dunedoo, Gulgong, Mudgee, Blue Mountains.
