AUDITION NOTICE FOR LES MISERABLES
Epic, grand and uplifting, Les Miserablés has thrilled audiences the world over with its powerful affirmation of the human spirit. The multi-national award winning “Les Mis” is positively one of the world’s most popular musicals.
Auditions for Brisbane Junior Theatre’s production of Les Miserablés will be held Saturday, September 1st, 1pm – 4pm. To book an audition please call Debbie on 0438 896 436. Roles are available for people aged from 8 – 25 years. No roles have been pre cast.
Call backs will be held Saturday, September 8th 1pm – 4pm.
All auditioning should prepare the song ‘Do You Hear The People Sing’ (the chorus in the finale), as well as the song of the character you are auditioning for. An accompanist will be provided.
Les Miserablés will be directed by Jack Bradford, conducted by Richard Thayil, choreographed by Janet Thiel and vocal direction by Debbie Bradford. BJT is a not for profit organisation and a production fee of $225 will be required from every performer on audition day. The fee helps cover the cost of costumes, sets/props, licensing, venue hire, orchestra and pizza dinner & drink for all cast and crew on Friday 28th September. There are a limited number of scholarships available on application.

Rehearsals: A leads rehearsal for blocking and characterisation will be held on Saturday 15th September and Saturday 22nd September 1pm – 4pm. Intensive Rehearsals commence on Monday 24th September – Friday 28th September, 8.30am – 5.00pm. Actors must be available for all rehearsals.
