BlackGOLD
recognized very early on that the
need to actively support the communities
from which we work in is paramount for
sustainability. Working in
underdeveloped countries BlackGOLD has
recognized a need based change from the
Colonial past. In that BlackGOLD has a
partnering management system that
reverts substantially higher benefits to
the communities in which it works in and
lets these resource owners govern their
future with the resources and capital to
do so.
BlackGOLD have underwritten this project with
humanitarian ideals and designed its
structure to provide a wide range of
community benefits to the peoples of the
Pacific Islands.
A
major requirement was the necessity to
provide infrastructure and opportunities
to enhance and promote the well-being
and future of rural people. These
enhancements include roads, schools,
medical clinics, jobs and education,
plus self-sustaining business
opportunities. Additionally, the project
provides much needed training and
employment opportunities for rural
workers.
The
other major aspect of BlackGOLD’s
business model is sustainability. From
Forestry through to Cattle Farming and
Fishing the business ethos is to protect
and enhance the environment at any point
possible. Organic based produce is a
growing and valuable commodity and it is
this focus that has brought about the
business philosophy of working in
harmony with the environment.
