AMA appointed member of the organizing committee of the Interceltique Festival de Lorient in 2016 for which Australia was selected as the Theme Country. The Festival in Brief:

Creation: 1971
Dates: from the first Friday to the second Sunday in August.
Place: Lorient (Brittany, France), 15 entertainment spots throughout the town.
Concept: A gathering place to voice the contemporary expression of Celtic culture
Participants: 4,500 musicians, singers, dancers, artists, university professors and film-makers from Scotland, lreland, Wales, Cornwall, The Isle of Man, Galicia, Asturias, Brittany, the USA, Canada, Australia, etc…
Audience: 600,000 spectators
Duration: 10 days
Organisation: An international event, with corresponding partners in all countries concerned – 400 people participate in its smooth running; all organisational activities are dealt with directly, transportation of 4,500 people, 55,000 meals, 12,000 night accommodations, international communications, partner search, new talent search, directing, conception and design of shows.
Budget: 30 million French francs and service swapping Self-financing: 75%
