I have run a promotional marketing business for 10 years and been in the printing industry for around 20 years.

We have found that small to medium businesses like products that a good value for money and that are practical, where sometimes corporate companies may go for a novelty item.

The trend so far this year is for, Printed Coffee Mugs, Promotional Mouse Mats, Customised Notepads, Printed USB Sticks, printed water bottles, company uniforms, printed umbrellas, stubbie holders and printed pens.

When you think about it, most of these promotional items are useful products, and your advertising lasts a lot longer than a printed flyer or newspaper ad, and lets face it not everyone has the budget for an above the line television or radio marketing campaign.

I like nothing better than going to visit a client and to see my mouse mat or my coffee mug on their desk, as my advertising is sitting right in front of the person that orders and there is a good chance they will call us for their next job.
