Seismic Processing

AusGeos is offering a boutique approach for processing (and re-processing) seismic data.

We provide complete seismic processing from our offices in Perth and Adelaide. We offer all 2D, 3D Land, marine & TZ services to both Oil & Gas and minerals industries at competitive prices.

Our processing flows include power statics solutions to help image subtle structures and improve the imaging and definition of new and historical data.

Software

AusGeos uses industry-standard GLOBE Claritas software, from New Zealand's premier geoscience provider GNS Sciences. GLOBE Claritas provides sophisticated tools for 2D and 3D land and marine seismic data processing. The software was developed over 20 years ago extensively tested on New Zealand's rugged topography and has since become a popular choice among processors in many locations around the world. GLOBE Claritas is renowned for its excellent handling of residual statics and for a number of cutting edge algorithms including SRME for multiple-removal. The software has full up-to-date functionality for 5D interpolation and Broadband processing. New features are continually added to maintain full functionality.

Hardware

Globe Claritas is cluster-enabled and provides us with a highly scalable option, which allows us to run it from laptops through to supercomputers. Our access to a number of super-clusters enables us to undertake high-speed, large volume 3D data processing jobs.

Our laptop feature allows us to bring GLOBE Claritas into client's offices to QC results with our clients, or to provide overnight in-field processing alongside the acquisition crew. We can generally process new field records to fully migrated final data in a 12-hour cycle.

Crooked Line Processing

AusGeos offers clients Crooked Line Imaging. As the name implies, crooked line processing provides a superior solution for 2D lines that are not straight, for example those acquired in mountain terrain, or along tracks and roads. Crooked line processing has so far proved itself in environmentally challenging areas and anywhere where access has become restricted.

Crooked Line Processing also offer more robust results in the presence of velocity perturbations and drastically enhances imaging of the shallow section.

Interpretation-based Processing

Our processors are highly innovative and use their interpretation skills with seismic processing. To improve data we focus on the geology and on imaging velocities. To pick velocities accurately we use proprietary techniques and software and our interpretation of the seismic data. We call this interpretation-based seismic processing. The results are generally better are responsible for our success with difficult data.

Nodal Acquisition, 3D merge & Azimuthal

We process Nodal data and generally recommend its use to our clients.

For clients requiring azimuthal (3D) processing we offer a lower cost alternative. Similarly our 3D data merge (mega-merge) services are very competitive.

If you would like to learn more, please contact AusGeos to arrange a technical discussion. We'll be happy to discuss how we can help you with your imaging requirements.
