Ausmetec is a proud Australian owned company who developed, manufactures  and researches the unique ProFlote™ (US Patent 7429331) technology at its Sydney facility.

ProFlote™ is a proven magnetic conditioning technology that selectively aggregates paramagnetic minerals.  Magnetic aggregation of minerals such as chalcopyrite has been shown to selectively increase plant metal recoveries by > 1%.

Established in 2000, Ausmetec has a proud history of improving fine mineral recovery on paramagnetic minerals. Ausmetec continues to deliver quality and customized engineering solutions to suit client needs. 

OUR PUBLICATIONS

Co-authored with plant metallurgists from mine sites around the world, Ausmetec has published several technical papers to document the improved metal recovery and grade benefits with ProFlote™.

Installations of the ProFlote are carried out in a way that allows statistical methods to determine the true extent of the technology's benefit on plant recovery over the trial period.

OUR NEWS AND EVENTS IN 2023

Current Testing

As of October 2023, ProFlote is currently being tested at Cerro Verde 1 Concentrator, Atalaya Mine, Grasberg and Nunavik.

ProFlote is about to be installed and tested at Escondida and El Teniente.

R & D

Ausmetec teams up with FESTO to provide a more sophisticated and robust valve terminal to new and existing clients.

Technical Success

Ausmetec trialed additional ProFlote units at South 32 Cannington Mine in the Pb Rougher Circuit.

Results measured a significant increase in Pb and Zn Rec to respective concentrates.

Technical Success

Successful trial of ProFlote at Kaz Minerals Bozshakol Mine.

Kaz Minerals to present the results in November 2023 at Cape Town, South Africa.

Paper Submission

Hudbay's Constancia site to present results of ProFlote in Cu Rougher and Cu Cleaner Circuit in Perumin 2023.
