About Alan

Alan lives on a small property outside Guildford, a small hamlet outside Castlemaine, a small town in central Victoria, Australia. He has been creating traditional black and white photographs for over 35 years and still finds this medium the most satisfying, expressive and artistic for his main loves of natural landscape and social documentary of the people who live closest to the land.

Black & White Photographs are supplied as fibre-based silver-gelatin prints mounted on archival backing board and matted according to the purchaser's selection. All prints are individually hand-crafted in a traditional darkroom with no digital manipulation whatsoever. They are all archivally toned with either Selenium or Sepia and will be replaced free of charge if any changes due to chemical residues are found within 10 years.

Purchasing Prints

Prints are normally supplied matted with white conservation board, however other colours can be used if required. Framing can also be arranged (extra freight charges may apply). Contact Alan as outlined below for specific quotations.
